Henselfest will feature a performance by Erica Sipes (Piano Music She Wrote) and Sue Hammond (Classical Kids).
Erica Sipes, pianist, is a founding member of the project, Piano Music She Wrote, along with Canadian pianist Sandra Mogensen. Ms. Sipes is the resident practice and performance coach at Radford University in southwest Virginia and also spends a lot of her time traveling around the country performing storytelling recitals and giving workshops on practicing, sightreading, and performing. After producing her ten internationally acclaimed Classical Kids CDs (Beethoven Lives Upstairs), and receiving the Order of Canada for her contribution to arts education, Sue Hammond returned to her first love, the piano. Having studied in Toronto, London, Italy and New York with K.U. Schnabel, she now produces concert lectures at the Fromm Center, the Institute for Western Civilization in Cupertino, and at Steinway, Walnut Creek.
