About the Event

The inaugural Henselfest will showcase research, performances, and other creative activity celebrating the life and work of 19th-century composer Fanny Mendelssohn Hensel. Hensel’s more than 450 compositions went largely unpublished during her lifetime, but increased access to her manuscripts has led to exciting recent discoveries and a renewed appreciation for her genius.

Organized by Molly McCann (also known as Henselpushers) and Brianna Conrey, Henselfest is already shaping up to be an unforgettable event, complete with lectures and performances by leading scholars, musicians, and authors.

The registration link, full program, and speaker list are coming soon — join the mailing list for updates.
